Privacy Policy
Kindcipe respects your privacy. This policy explains how we collect, use, store and protect your personal data.
1. Data we collect
- Account: email, display name, and basic profile from Google/Apple sign-in.
- Household: kitchen/household name, members and roles.
- Content: recipes, meal plans, shopping lists, purchase history and saved ingredients you enter, import or generate.
- Device: crash logs (Sentry) and notification permission state.
- Photos/Camera: only when you choose to upload a recipe screenshot (with your permission).
2. How we use it
- To provide and improve app features (recipes, AI meals, meal planning, shopping lists, price comparison).
- To process subscriptions and payments (via App Store / Google Play in-app purchase; we never store your card details).
- To send reminders you have opted into.
- For debugging, security and abuse prevention.
3. AI-generated content
When you use AI meal generation, your preferences and ingredients are sent to our AI provider (Alibaba Cloud Model Studio DashScope/Qwen) solely to generate that result.
4. Third parties
- Sentry — crash reporting (no recipe content).
- PostHog — anonymous product analytics (no recipe content).
- Google / Apple sign-in — account authentication.
- App Store / Google Play — subscription payments.
- Alibaba Cloud DashScope — AI recipe generation.
5. Retention
Your account and content are kept until you delete your account. Logging out does not delete your data.
6. Deleting your account
In the app: Settings → Delete Account. This permanently removes your account and all related data and cannot be undone.
7. Children
The app is intended for family use but does not knowingly collect data from children under 13. Contact us to remove such data.
8. Security
We use reasonable measures including HTTPS and secure storage. No internet transmission is ever fully secure.
9. Your rights
You can view, correct or delete your data in the app at any time, or contact us to export or delete it.
